Cody completely surprised Shanna when she was in Cleveland for Christmas in 2016. While she thought they were meeting up with his family to look at Christmas lights, he actually had a surprise proposal planned in the heart of downtown Cleveland right by the beautiful, larger than life, chandelier. (World’s largest outdoor chandelier; Shanna loves chandeliers) With the help of his family and niece, Noelle (around the age of 3) (she painted a picture of a ring and gave it to her as a gift, when Shanna looked up, Cody was on his knee with the real ring), he pulled off the perfect proposal. His mom even had Shanna's mom and grandparents on FaceTime to witness the whole thing. Shanna was so surprised and overtaken with emotion, everyone was trying to confirm she had actually said 'yes' to the question! Of course she had and she felt like the luckiest girl on the planet.
They knew right away they wanted to get married where they first met and are overjoyed at the thought of having all of their friends and family there to celebrate this amazing time in their lives!
Cody was a William and Mary Football Player and Shanna was the head cheerleader at the College. They really wanted to be married on the Campus and showcase the school that brought them together. But, due to it being during the school year, a lot of the venues were booked or unable to be used due to class being in session. Cody mentioned the Stadium and Shanna jumped at the chance and said let's do that! From the physical connection the the football program and school and their love for the sport of football itself. It just made sense that the place where they spent most their College Saturdays while in school, would also be the place where they spent this very special Wedding Saturday. Always ready for game day!
We asked Cody and Shanna if having a wedding video was worth it and they said: Definitely worth it! It is always nice to relive those memories in live action. Though "a picture says a thousand words" you just can't beat a video. It was also nice on the grooms behalf (who doesn't like taking planned photos) to be more natural and candid.

Watching this sweet couple get married on the 50 yard of Zable Stadium and being the first in their school's history to do so is something we will never forget. As well as getting to witness Shanna give her grandmother her bouquet. Filming the couple walking out to 2pac and Snoops: "Amerikaz Most Wanted" at the Wedding for their introduction was very entertaining!! (Cody has always wanted 2pac involved somehow someway)
